Case Study: Formula 1
Sovereign Extinguishing are pleased and very proud to have installed and commissioned the NOVEC 1230® system in the new Data Centre for one of the leading Formula 1 Teams.
The room is an addition to several existing Data Centres that they have on site, and as such the customer wanted to have as close to the same equipment as they already have in their other rooms for training and spares requirements.
Our Design Team’s first task was to fully survey the existing systems on site to ascertain exactly what equipment was already installed on site in the other rooms, so that we could design the system using as close to the same equipment as possible. This was done as far as possible, even down to the same alarm tones from the same sounders.
Cylinder equipment from Johnson Controls, and electrical equipment from Advanced and Vimpex to name some of the suppliers were installed. Naturally the system meets all current regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
The Room Integrity Test was performed as part of our Commissioning procedures, and the system handed over to the client for them to populate the room with equipment.
Another example where a Sovereign Extinguishing project came in on budget, and was installed to the customer’s programme.
